Mallorca Seniors 2026: One Month to Go – Familiar Highlights and New Additions
The countdown is on: In around one month, the 31st edition of the Mallorca Seniors will get underway. The world’s largest senior tennis tournament, which attracts around 1,000 participants from more than 40 nations each year, will for the first time be held under the direction of new tournament directors Sigrid Rinow and Björn Kroll. The two Hamburg natives are succeeding the tournament’s legendary founder, Helge Albrecht.
Much of what has made the tournament so special for many years will remain unchanged: the “Blue Hour”, the raffle, the familiar venues and the friendly atmosphere on and off the court will continue to be integral parts of the event. At the same time, the tournament programme will be enhanced by several new ideas and offerings.
Raffle with prizes worth more than €15,000 – top prize: a TENWAYS e-bike
Naturally, the popular “Blue Hour” will also continue. Every day from 5 to 6 p.m., participants can meet at the pool bar, enjoy time together and reflect on the day’s matches. The “two drinks for the price of one” offer will remain in place, along with the small prize draws.
The main raffle is also ready: more than 1,300 prizes with a total value of more than €15,000 are waiting to be won. The top prize is a TENWAYS e-bike worth €3,000. Other prizes include two stays at the Beach Club Font de Sa Cala, DUNLOP tennis racquets, fashion and accessories from Love:40, suitcases and high-quality travel bags, final tickets for the ATP tournament in Halle/Westphalia, and waterdrop® bottles.
New this year, every player will receive a personalised accreditation badge in the style of major ATP and WTA tournaments, including a photo. Bianca Politzky, who has managed accreditation at international ATP and WTA tournaments for many years, will oversee the on-site organisation.
In addition, the gym at the Beach Club will be available free of charge throughout the tournament. The previous fee will no longer apply.
Players Welcome Night with live musical entertainment
At the start of each tournament week, the Players Welcome Night will take place by the pool at the FERGUS Club Font de Sa Cala Beach. It is open to all players, including those staying at other hotels.
Guests can look forward to snacks, cocktails and a musical show act organised exclusively for the Mallorca Seniors.
New partners join – long-standing partners remain on board
In recent months, several new partners have joined to support and enhance the tournament weeks:
Violet, an aperitif inspired by the Lake Constance region, was already a partner of the BOSS OPEN in Stuttgart this summer and will now also be featured at the Mallorca Seniors. Complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic Violet Spritz will be served on two tournament evenings.
waterdrop® is a partner of the ATP Tour and is now also a partner of the Mallorca Seniors. High-quality bottles will be awarded as prizes to the winners. In addition, a special co-branded “Mallorca Seniors x waterdrop®” bottle has been created, while all participants will receive Microdrink cubes in their goodie bags.
Together with our new premium partner TENWAYS, the global e-bike brand headquartered in Amsterdam, we will provide four e-bikes free of charge for participants to borrow – whether for travelling between the tournament venues or for a short trip to the sea.
The Californian skincare brand COOLA, which specialises in organic sun protection and skincare, will provide players with high-quality sunscreen.
Tennis-string manufacturer Kirschbaum will remain a long-standing partner, as will Austrian company Panaceo, which is dedicated to gut health. Here, too, participants can look forward to surprises in their goodie bags.
Expanded medical team with Rothenbaum tournament doctor and four physiotherapists
The new partnerships with German healthcare company Helios and Spanish hospital group Quirónsalud enable us to expand our medical team and ensure professional tournament-level medical care throughout both tournament weeks.
Dr Monika Gerzmann and Dr Jörg Gerzmann, already familiar to many participants from previous years, will remain with the tournament. The team will be complemented by orthopaedic specialist Dr Volker Carrero, long-serving tournament doctor at Hamburg’s Rothenbaum and team doctor for FC St. Pauli, as well as another physician. For the first time, four physiotherapists will also be available; until now, there have been two.
The Mallorca Seniors 2026 team: familiar faces and new additions
Many familiar contacts from the previous team will return and are looking forward to seeing everyone again. At the same time, the expanded team brings fresh momentum and looks forward to meeting the participants.
As usual, matches will be played at the Beach Club, Na Taconera, Aguait and Son Besso. All courts at these venues have already been reserved.
The official tournament ball will once again be the “Dunlop ATP Tour” in the blue can.
